The I. B. Perrine Bridge was an engineering design feat in Idaho. This four-lane truss arch bridge is 1500 feet in length and 486 feet above the Snake River. Located in Twin Falls, Idaho, it carries U.S. Highway 93 over the Snake River Canyon. The original steel cantilever bridge was named Twin Falls-Jerome Bridge and was constructed in 1927 when it was said to be the highest bridge in the world. It was restructured in the 1970s and renamed after I.B. Perrine who spearheaded the irrigation projects of the early 20th century in Magic Valley.
