An architectural marvel in Louisiana is the new State Capitol Building. This landmark lies in the heart of Baton Rouge. This tower replaced the old State Capitol building that was made in a Gothic Revival style. Built in 1932, this building is in the Art Deco style and rises to the height of 450 feet with 34 stories, making it the tallest capitol building in the U.S.
Killona, Louisiana with ENERCON: design and engineering of seismic modified concrete forms utilized in the construction of a structural enclosure for a generator. Work included structural seismic analysis of the existing concrete structure for bracing anchorages and layout/detailing of the Symons forms modified to resist seismic loading.
New Orleans, Louisiana with Contractors Access: engineering and design of scaffolding to allow worker access to the interior architectural face of the structure during construction. Work included complex stability design to account for the irregular shape of the building and the architecturally sensitive walls.
New Iberia, Louisiana with Harrison Western Construction: engineering and design of a structural steel bulkhead and work deck access platform. Work included structural steel, connection and shop detail design for the mineshaft.
