Established in 1732, Georgia is often called the Empire State of the South. One of the most architecturally fascinating buildings in Georgia is the state capitol building in Georgetown. Designed by architects Willoughby J. Edbrooke and Franklin Pierce Burnham from Chicago and built in 1889, this structure is designed to resemble the U.S. Capitol Building in D.C. The façade has a four-story entrance supported by Corinthian columns that are on top of large stone piers. Its large gold dome has a statue of Miss Freedom that has been there since the building’s opening.
Atlanta, Georgia with Atlantic Equipment and Walsh Construction: engineering of shoring towers to stabilize an existing bridge allowing a crane to be placed on top of it during construction. Work included the use of Megashor manufactured shoring equipment and developing sills and cribbing for footings.
Marietta, Georgia with AT-PAC Industrial Scaffolding: structural analysis of a lattice girder that included finite element analysis of the product. Deliverables included developing working loads for the truss based on OSHA standards.
Fort Benning, Georgia with Sunbelt Rentals: engineering of a scaffolding platform to allow for the temporary staging of equipment. Platform design was rated up to 125 psf working load.
