Blake Roskelley, P.E. Project Engineer

Blake has worked in the structural engineering consulting industry since 2007. He brings expertise in the seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings. He is adept at using 3-Dimensional structural analysis software for building modeling. As a project engineer with a respected structural engineering consulting firm, Blake successfully evaluated and designed retrofit schemes for numerous existing buildings with various structural systems.

Blake has also been involved in the design of several new buildings with experience in the design of steel moment frame, braced frame, concrete shear wall, and wood sheer wall structures. Additionally, he has experience in the public sector having worked as an intern for a large city building department performing plan reviews and building inspections.

As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Blake received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering in 2009 and 2010, respectively. For his Master’s research, he evaluated the behavior of several multi-story buildings through forced vibration testing. He compared the physical testing results to those he obtained through computer modeling to evaluate the impact that various parameters have on building performance and design. Blake is a licensed Civil Engineer in California and Colorado.

When not at work Blake enjoys spending time with his family, officiating basketball, and serving in his local church. He also speaks Portuguese fluently.
