Donald McCuskey, PE

Project Engineer

Since 2003, Donald McCuskey has been involved in the structural engineering profession with particular expertise in structural analysis, design and observation. Having worked on a variety of projects ranging from residential homes to bridge crane design, Donald provides DH Glabe & Associates with his extensive experience in solving complex construction/engineering problems using a combination of professional tools and software. His expertise also includes work on notable scaffolding, shoring, forming, bridge erection and demolition projects around the country.

As a graduate of the University of Colorado, Donald received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Donald is a licensed Civil Engineer in Arkansas, Colorado, Washington, D.C., Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.

Tracy Dutting-Kane, PE

Project Engineer

Beginning her engineering career in 1996, Tracy Dutting-Kane has extensive experience in the scaffold, shoring and forming industries as the former Chief Engineer of a major scaffolding and shoring supplier in the Midwest. She brought her considerable expertise to DH Glabe & Associates in 2011 where she is responsible for the development, design, and review of forming, shoring, and scaffolding projects. She has worked on a variety of projects including slab bridge construction, water treatment plants, multi-story building/parking garage construction, and existing structure reshore/support. Tracy has expertise regarding the OSHA, ANSI and IWCA standards as they apply to scaffolding and temporary structures.

As a graduate of Youngstown State University, Tracy received her Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering. Tracy maintains numerous professional memberships and is the former President of the Scaffold, Shoring, and Forming Institute. Tracy is a licensed Civil Engineer in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Zach Forster, PE

Project Engineer

Zach provides comprehensive experience and knowledge of scaffolding, formwork and falsework design through his experience at DH Glabe & Associates.  Zach adds additional expertise to the DH Glabe team with his previous experience analyzing and designing commercial and residential structures which he began in 2006.  Throughout his career, Zach has engaged in a diverse spectrum of work, ranging from building design to natural disaster damage assessment.

As a graduate of Colorado State University, Zach received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in the states of Alabama, Colorado, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Puerto Rico and Rhode Island. He is also a licensed Structural Engineer in Vermont.

Eric Czaikowski, EI

Engineer

Spanning a career that began in 2005, Eric brings with him a diverse background in engineering to the team at DH Glabe & Associates. His experience includes civil and structural engineering with a comprehensive understanding of timber, steel and concrete structures design. His professional career also includes experience in structural analysis, geotechnical and intermediate soils engineering. Before coming to DH Glabe & Associates, Eric was employed as a Project Engineer at Merrick & Company where he designed and inspected waterlines throughout the state of Colorado. Prior to that, he was employed as a Structural Designer at Barton Construction Services where he designed residential homes.

Eric is a 2008 graduate of the University of Colorado at Denver where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds a degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. Eric has successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and will sit for his P.E. in the Spring of 2013.

Dewey H. Coultas, PE, SE

Structural Consultant

Dewey H. Coultas has been involved with heavy highway and bridge design since 1976. His past work includes projects that dealt with structural design of bridges, flood routings and hydraulic analysis for dams, footing designs for prefabricated steel buildings, bridge inspections and ratings, failure investigations, and preparation of structural repair and rehabilitation plans. Dewey’s extensive structural design experience makes him a valuable part of the DH Glabe team.

Dewey received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer in Illinois.

Jimmy Q. Lam, SE

Structural Consultant

With professional engineering experience that began in 2003, Jimmy brings a diverse background of expertise to the DH Glabe & Associates team.  He is certified by the U.S. National Highway Institute as an in-service Bridge Inspector, and certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a blast resistant Structural Designer among his numerous certifications.  Jimmy’s expertise includes providing review and inspection of bridges and buildings to develop comprehensive repair strategies.  He also has experience designing various new structures using materials such as steel, concrete, masonry and wood.

Jimmy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii, and his Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a Structural emphasis from Stanford University. He is a licensed Structural Engineer in Hawaii.

David H. Glabe, PE

Founder and Partner

As the Founder of DH Glabe & Associates, David has been personally involved in the temporary structures industry since 1973. He has been associated with a number of scaffold, shoring, and forming companies, holding diverse positions ranging from applications engineer to regional vice president. Utilizing the experience he has gained from working in various aspects of the temporary structures industry, David continues to share is knowledge with the industry through training, engineering and consultation. He co-developed a scaffold training seminar held at Purdue University and serves as an instructor for OSHA accredited training centers throughout the country.  David also serves as an expert witness in workplace related matters. David is a graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He maintains membership in the National Society of Professional Engineers and Professional Engineers in Construction.  He is actively involved in the Scaffolding and Access Industry Association where he serves as the liaison to OSHA.  He is a Registered Civil Engineer in Colorado, Illinois, Nebraska, Kentucky,Virginia, New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, Michigan and West Virginia.  He is also a licensed Structural Engineer in Utah. Jared Thompson

Managing Partner

Jared has been involved with the construction industry since his first job as a project administrative intern in 2002.  He worked his way through the ranks to eventually become the Vice President of a Denver based construction company specializing in structural rehabilitation and waterproofing.  Prior to partnering with Mr. Glabe in 2011, Jared worked with DH Glabe & Associates on numerous successful bridge rehabilitation projects throughout the state of Colorado.  Jared helps to provide the unique real world experience that sets DH Glabe & Associates apart from any other engineering company in the industry.

Jared graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.  Along with his practical construction knowledge, Jared provides expertise in finance and business operations. His input on the management team ensures that DH Glabe & Associates will continually strive to add value for its clients by creating safe, cost-effective engineering solutions with a practical approach.
